Community Outreach
Robot demonstrations, workshop tours, fundraisers, and international STEM workshops run by Blast Robotics — from Berwyn, PA to Hyderabad, India.
FIRST Robotics Competition rewards teams that give back — and Blast Robotics’ community outreach is core to who we are, not an afterthought bolted onto a build season.
What we run
- Robot demonstrations — interactive events featuring live robot demos, Q&A, and hands-on mini-build activities for kids and families
- Workshop tours — guided tours of our 15 Waterloo Avenue facility for prospective sponsors, schools, and families
- Community fundraisers — seasonal car washes, bake sales, and restaurant give-back nights that keep the team funded and visible locally
- Global STEM outreach — team members traveled to Hyderabad, India to run hands-on workshops on basic robotics, electronics, and STEM at two rural girls’ middle schools
Why it matters for FRC judging
FIRST Robotics Competition explicitly rewards “Gracious Professionalism” and community impact through awards like the Rookie All-Star and Rising All-Star — both of which Team 10989 won in our first season, in large part because of the depth of this outreach work.
